How do you effectively communicate with a person who is prone to sulking?

I can't handle the silent treatment, can you?

Ignore them. they're attention seekers. I wouldn't bother with anybody like that until they copped on.

    i used to go out with someone like that… good god that was annoying…
    the best thing to do is tell them then do something with other people… like going to the cinema… give them time to get over it
