My BF and I have been together three years but recently just started a long distance relationship because school. I know comminucation is the most important key into keeping a relationship healthy but do you have any communication ways I could keep my relationship with him sharp and on point? Thanks 
You need to constantly stay in contact with him. I recommend setting a schedule of when you guys will be talking, chatting, or viewing each other via webcam or computer video. Also visit him or have him visit you as much as possible. Try writing letters include pictures inside it, it makes your communication more personal and intimate. Its much more effective than emails. Send gifts.
Lastly surprise him in any way you can. Trust me, he’ll love it. Good luck!

Well I am also in a long distance relationship. I live in Pa and she lives in NY. Well you have the internet to communicate with. If you don’t have a webcam I suggest you get one also your boyfriend do the same. This allows you to see eye to eye even though you are not. Also get a phone (be it land line or cell) plan that allows unlimited long distance phone calls. With webcams you can have sex through that and the phone. When you are talking just be honest with each other and trusting. (big part of distance) Good Luck and if you need any more advice just ask.
