What makes up good communication in a relationship?

My boyfriend and I have been together for about 6 months now.

We seem to be pretty comfortable with each other as far as telling each other things that are bothering each other. My boyfriend tells me issues he has with his job and his family mostly. I try to listen and give him the best support and advice that I can. There are times when I talk to my boyfriend about things as well. Sometimes he doesn’t quite know how to respond but does his best to make me feel better.

Are these factors of good communication?

yes communication is the best thing in a relationship, it can resolve many things, even if either of you arn’t sure how to respond
