I know that a person can only change so much. But how do you deal with those culture and communication gap issues? Sometimes when talking about things, we have completely different opinions and end up arguing because something I said is not what she expected and she forms an opinion of that is how I really am. We really do love each other, but we worry sometimes our differences in perspective will prevent the relationship from lasting in the future. What is the best way to approach and solve these kinds of problems ? Any feed back would be much appreciated.
That is Exactly the wonder of love, that both of 2, can get over the differences of a culture, because there is a language in the world that is well known by all of us, … and it is … the "language of love".
It doesn't need translation, or words well "explained" …
Explain to her, and ask her to explain to u, in both native languages what is mean to say … you'll understand … both of u will understand … both hearts will understand …

I know several couples who have over come this issue. It is called respect for each others differences. And bty people who are marred 30 years even vote for different presidents but refrain from tell each other whom they voted for. It is called acceptance and respect!

Well what I would do in your situation is to not react so quickly. I would rationally talk to him before we start arguing. If you love someone than you love them as a whole, not just specific things. Learn to appreciate and value her opinion (if you don't do that already) try not to make her feel like she needs to change. Another thing I would suggest is to talk over this issue with her before it gets to a point where it might be the reason for you two to break up. I hope everything works out!!!
Good Luck!!!
