Archive for business communication skills

This is for an A-Level Business Studies presentation that has to be completed by tomorrow’s lesson. Much Appreciated for your time and co-operation.

Communication and interpersonal skills make people feel needed and part of the organization. As we know from Maslow’s heiarchy, a sense of belonging is paramount to our needs. Communication and interpersonal skills make us feel that we are part of the company. If we feel part of the company, then we are more loyal and happy. So, we won’t be skipping out when we’re not sick – or, even worse, calling in sick with such things as depression and migrain headaches from stresses at work. This web-site, http://www.scn.org/ip/cds/cmp/modules/pm-pm.htm, details participatory management, which is at the heart of communication and interpersonal skills. It lists several benefits. Good luck!

I am going to open a new business. My employees who are yet to be employed will have to deal with people a lot. I need to train them to communicate with others the best way they can. I am looking for a book from which I can draw information in this regard. The KEY to my success lies in the way my future employees will deal with people.

I have this book called the Everyday Managers Handbook, and this is really helpful, and gives you all sorts of tips, not only for customer service, but training and interview hints as well.

There is another guy who is working with as a contractor ,they are satisfied with the work he has done till now.They don’t how is he going to do on the business related work,
is it negative.

Yes I think that is very negative. Communication is very important. I was just working at a company where communication was not permitted. To me that makes no sense and it costs the company money in the long run. Everything we do requires communication skills. With me I am very direct and there are THOSE PEOPLE that get easily offended. It goes alot deeper than that though, for example this one girl that I was dealing with had set up the company so that all procedures revolved around her, thereby giving this person ultimate job security. In fact she had tried to quit but the company offered her more money and asked her to stay. That isn’t the answer. I read an article that said that people that constantly threaten to quit their jobs are not happy with their jobs. Instead of offering them more money it is best to just do nothing and let them leave. Even though they are making more money their initial reason for wanting to quit is still there, money don’t make that go away. This person treated others like dirt while attempting to make herself always look good, not a team player and taking away from the benefits other employee’s have to offer the company.

Communication is important in everything we do. You can look up articles on improving communication skills and that should help you.

If you become a supervisor you have to be able to communicate effectively with others to get the job done.

I finished my master degree in the States. I have many friends who are native English speakers. I’ve been working in New York City for a few years.. And I think I’ve been doing good, but these days, I see my English skills as a career barrier. So I’d like to improve my Business English, especially verbal communication skill. I don’t mind a private or group lesson, as long as it’s good.

If you have experiences to attend one of them, care to share with us about it (even if it was a bad one)?

Business and Communications Skills?

Posted by: admin | Comments (2)

how do you prepare & distinguish your self from other candidates in screening interview and still keep your responses short and ti the point ?

Communication Skills for Business: Three Components for Successful Oral Communication
*Ask open-ended questions.
*Listen intensely and avoid solving other’s problems
*Match your words to your body language
Good communications are basic to successful management.Communication is the common thread, which runs throughout every working day. It can take various forms including:

* Face-To Face
* Telephone
* Information written e.g. emails, memos
* Formal written e.g. reports, letters, strategies

The richest communication method is face-to-face where the entire range of information, both verbal and non-verbal, is available and therefore where the accuracy of the information can be checked.

I need to a start business with minimum investment (Maximum 2 Lakhs). Please give me a suggestion for my growth.

India Rupees United States Dollars
1 INR = 0.0215192 USD 1 USD = 46.4701 INR

Sorry, but that is seriously not enough capital to get a business up and running. Stay in school and LEARN communications skills since you admit that is your weakness. Otherwise, try to marry into a rich family, have 17 to 19 kids, die, and leave the rest of the figuring to your sons and daughters.

only one applies
a. Listening and writing
b.Speaking and writing
c.Reading and writing
d.all of the above
thanks!

Reading is the most important skill for anyone to learn in any business. Once a person can read, they are only limited by their own ambition in learning other skills.

Did you know you put writing with each choice?
