My course is the foundation degree in early years. All my textbooks tell me is about why communication is important. Will try the google search. thanks

What subject is this course? I can't believe that the textbooks you've been using wouldn't contain this information.

I just did a search on "interpersonal communication" and got lots of returns. Try it.

what would the right attitude clothing and conduct be…i haven't had a job that required talking to people

First, you should commence communicating. If it is not so effective in the beginning, you would realise it soon and you can make amends by putting across to them what you wanted to convey in a different, better fashion. Slowly, you will learn them yourself and master the art.
By learning the techniques from others, you will never be able to progress. You have the talent inherent. Exploit it. You will do that without your knowing. All the best.

Someone answered my question from yahoo answer that state a quiet persons do not have interpersonal skill and communication skill and employers don't want them. Is that true?
In other words, extrovert or talkative people have those skills? And extrovert or talkative people will be hired by employers who need these skills?

See if there is a Toastmasters chapter in your area. It is a social organization just for that purpose.
